Description
We welcome you and provide you with some information about the sanctuary and the elephants. You'll have the opportunity to change into traditional Karen hill tribe clothing, which is the traditional attire worn by the mahouts (elephant caretakers).
The first activity will be feeding the elephants, where you'll have the chance to interact with these gentle giants up close and personal. You can feed them bananas and sugarcane, and you'll be amazed by their gentle and playful nature.
After feeding, you'll have the opportunity to take a leisurely walk with the elephants through the jungle. The experienced guides will accompany you and provide information about the elephants' behavior and habits in their natural habitat.
Next, it's time to head to the mud spa! You'll have the chance to apply mud to the elephants' skin, which is not only a fun activity but also beneficial for their skin health.
Once the mud spa is done, it's time to head to the river for a refreshing bath with the elephants. You can splash and play with them in the water as they enjoy their bath time.
Throughout the experience, the guides and mahouts will share their knowledge and love for these magnificent animals, and you'll gain a deeper understanding of the importance of ethical elephant tourism and the conservation efforts in Thailand.
At the end of the tour, you'll be provided with a delicious traditional Thai buffet meal to refuel after a day of unforgettable experiences with the elephants.
The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Chiang Mai is committed to providing a safe and ethical environment for the elephants, and your visit helps support their rescue and conservation efforts. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience that allows you to create lasting memories while contributing to the well-being of these incredible creatures.
